  • Arrival in Islamabad: Your flights are expected to arrive in Islamabad in the afternoon.

  • Hotel Transfer: Participants will be promptly transferred to their hotels.
  • Relax and Recover: Take this day to unwind and recover from your journey.

Day 2Islamabad to Naran or Besham

  • Route Options:
    • If we take the road to Besham, our guests will drive through HaripurAbbottabadMansehra, and then along the Indus River on the Karakoram Highway.
    • Alternatively, we’ll try to travel via the Naran road, providing an opportunity to explore additional locations.

Naran:

  • Accommodation: Enjoy a twin-sharing room at either Parhena Cottages or Hotel deManchi (or an equivalent standard partner hotel, depending on occupancy) in Naran.
  • Meals: Your day includes breakfastlunch, and dinner, along with tea/coffee and snacks.

Besham:

  • Accommodation: Stay in a twin-sharing tent/cottage at either Besham Hilton Hotel or PTDC Motel (or an equivalent standard partner hotel, depending on occupancy) in Besham.

Day 3 Drive to Hunza Valley

On this day, we embark on an exciting journey toward the captivating Hunza Valley nestled in the majestic Karakoram range. Here’s what awaits you:

  • Scenic Drive: We’ll follow the Indus River along the iconic Karakoram Highway, soaking in the breathtaking views.
  • Hunza River Confluence: As we continue, the Hunza River will greet us, leading us deeper into this enchanting valley.
  • Hunza’s Unique Charms: Hunza Valley stands out for its pristine natural environment, rich cultural heritage, and delectable local cuisine.
  • Villages and Bridges: Our route will take us across charming bridges and through small villages inhabited by the Brusho and Shinaki people.
  • Karimabad: Our final destination is the capital of Hunza—Karimabad. Here, we’ll spend the night, surrounded by the valley’s awe-inspiring beauty.

Day 4Explore Hunza Valley

Let’s dive into the enchanting day ahead in Hunza Valley:

Morning Magic:

  • Wake up to a mesmerizing view of Rakaposhi peak right from your hotel in Karimabad. The majestic mountains greet you with their snow-capped splendor.

Historical Exploration:

  • Begin your day with a visit to the Baltit Fort, standing proud for 700 years. Explore its ancient halls, secret passages, and rich history.
  • Next, step into the Altit Fort, which boasts an impressive 900-year legacy. Don’t miss the chance to sip coffee amidst the royal gardens of Altit Fort.

Sunset Adventure:

  • As the afternoon sun starts to descend, embark on a short excursion or hike to the highest viewpoint, known as Duikar. From here, you’ll witness the sun painting the white peaks of the Karakoram Range in hues of gold and pink.
  • Let the breathtaking sunset leave an indelible mark on your soul.

Day 5Departure to Khunjerab Pass

  • Altitude: We’ll be at an impressive 4,693 meters above sea level.
  • Route Highlights:
    • Departing from Hunza, we’ll head toward the international paved road border, the Khunjerab Pass.
    • Along the way, we’ll pass the Ganish Bridge and admire ancient rock carvings.
    • Our journey will take us alongside the renowned Attabad Lake and through the newly constructed Pak-China friendship tunnels.
    • As we cross the Wildlife Conservation Area in Khyber, we’ll enter the Khunjerab National Park in Deh.
    • Prepare to be awestruck by the natural environment, and if luck is on our side, we might even witness snow in summers!
  • Wildlife Haven:
    • Khunjerab National Park is home to diverse wildlife, including ibexsnow leopards, and marmots.
    • Guests may have the unique opportunity to meet Chinese people—soldiers, border police, and tourists from the other side.
  • Packed Lunch at the Border:
    • At the Pak-China Border (at an impressive 4,733 meters), we’ll enjoy a packed or picnic lunch.
  • Shopping and Return:
    • On our return, we’ll stop in Sost (the Immigration/Customs point) for shopping—think Chinese goods like electronics and watches.
  • Passu Village Stay:
    • We’ll conclude our day by returning to Passu Village, where you’ll rest in a comfortable twin-sharing room at either Sarai Silk Route or Passu Ambassador Hotel (or an equivalent standard partner hotel, depending on occupancy).

Day 6Drive to Naran/Kaghan Valley

On this day, our guests will embark on a scenic journey from Hunza to either Besham or Naran, depending on weather conditions and other factors. Let’s explore the options:

Route Choices:

  • Besham Route:
    • We’ll drive through Chilas and Dassu, tracing the path along the mighty Indus River on the iconic Karakoram Highway.
  • Naran Route:
    • Alternatively, we’ll aim to return to Islamabad via the Naran road or the Babusar Pass (4,173 meters). This route offers additional exploration opportunities.

Overnight Stay:

  • Our guests will spend the night in either Naran or Besham, surrounded by the natural beauty of these regions.

Accommodation:

  • Enjoy a comfortable twin-sharing room at either Parhena Cottages or Hotel deManchi (or an equivalent standard partner hotel, depending on occupancy) in Naran.
